Handsworth Green Belt Hearing - 13 October

On Monday 13 October, the Planning Inspectorate hosted a hearing regarding Sheffield City Council's proposal to build 1,738 homes, a multi-faith burial ground, "educational use", and employment units across two green belt sites in the S13 area of Sheffield.
The hearing was conducted at the Showroom/Workstation in central Sheffield and was attended by representatives from Sheffield City Council, members of the Save S13 Green Belt group (Sapphire McCarthy Campaign), Norfolk Estates, Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust, Boyer Planning for Barratt David Wilson Homes, Labour Councillors Alison Norris and Councillor Mick Rooney from this ward, and other interested parties.
