Peaceful Sheffield Green Belt Protest

This Saturday (28 June 2025), a peaceful protest will take place in S35 as residents ramp up their fight to protect the green belt in Grenoside, Chapeltown, and Ecclesfield.
The green belt protest march is open to everyone - and you can join for the whole march, or just part of it. This peaceful march will pass some of the green belt sites in Grenoside, Ecclesfield, and Chapeltown that are threatened with developments as part of the Sheffield Local Plan.

Green Belt Protest Route
The green belt protest will start in two locations and both marches will end together at St Mary's Church in Ecclesfield:
Grenoside - Meet at 9.45am - Entrance to Grenoside Park
Chapeltown - Meet at 9.15am - Miners Arms on Warren Lane (One of the Chapeltown green belt sites under threat). Or join at 9.50am at Newton Memorial Hall.
